Paul-Armand Gette spent the first part of his working life in industry, trained in the sciences, comfortable with the language of botany and geology. Then, in the early 1960s, something shifted. He walked away from that career and stepped into art — not by abandoning what he knew, but by dragging it with him. That's really the key to understanding Gette. He never stopped being a scientist.
