Guillaume Le Roy ( 1936-2006)

 I recently was fortunate to acquire a small collection 0f 10 woodcut prints by Guillaume Le Roy. Le Roy is admired by many and considered to be among to best graphic dutch artists from the last century. His work, always abstract, was in his earliest days extremely colorful and had some recognizable elements in it, but later on his work became completely abstract, with dark colours , but still light and playful. These prints i can offer are among the best by Le Roy. Large sized and in MINT conditions. for more information contact me.

Crying.....

Yesterday i bought for our collection a magical work by the Korean artist Jungwook Kim and found out that there is a similarity between other works within our collection. Especially there is Ossip who depicts woman with tears in many of his works a fascinating resemblance between these 3 works, which are created over 10.000 miles apart. So there it was 3 works with the same theme. It made me think of Bettina Rheims who takes the female figure/model and puts her many times in the saddest setting possible.
