In 1988 Rudi Fuchs just made his transfer from the van Abbemuseum to the Haags Gemeentemuseum and this publiation was one of the first he had published. Ofcourse almost no copies were sold at that time ( ca. 20) and by the time the museum was closed for renovation in 1996 not many more were sold. The Museum closed for almost a year and all its stock was sold. Nobody wanted to buy this publication so the main part over 400 copies were destroyed. The book indicated the edition size to be 500, but in reality less than a few dozain copies remain and were distributed. This copy is one of the remaining and makes this edition by Ian Wilson one of the scarcest in the series. Highest recommendation and MINT- condition.
